Whose Line is it Anyway: Israel Edition uses the format of the famous and funny TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" but replaces the scenarios with those involving characters and storylines from modern Israeli history and culture. The program allows many different participants for each 'game' and is always a lot of fun!
Campers will get to meet the diverse group of people that make up Israeli society while walking in the shoes of an Israeli citizen in a party atmosphere. This session will include mingling, movement, and fun!
This cabin-time activity offers an opportunity for campers, counselors, and Israeli staff to bond as they consider the very real challenges of war, and consider the ultimate sacrifices that people sometimes are called upon to make.
This activity meshes "gadna"-style training with examination of the ethos of the IDF. It includes physical army "training," discussion of life in the army, and personal stories and anecdotes from your Israeli staff who have been through their own army experiences.
It's a talent show! It's a beauty pageant! It's Mr. and Mrs. Israel, where camper teams representing places in Israel compete for recognition and bragging rights. With costumes, songs, cheers, and the like, campers won't even realize how much they are learning in the process.
This is ideally a multi-period activity, with campers preparing earlier in the day for the evening competition. However, the entire program could be as big or small as you'd like.
The Israel Lens is a unique method of looking at photographs as entry points into understanding Israeli history and culture. This session primarily uses photographs of people of Israel who came from various countries and periods in history and is an excellent program for a photography specialty.
Help your campers discover the land of Israel -- at least the edible version! After a brief orientation about the geography and topography of the country, campers will create their own maps of Israel out of ice cream and candy (or veggies or cake or you name it!). The maps will be photographed with their creators, and then everyone will eat their creations.
Based off of the hit TV show 'Shark Tank,' this program gives campers the opportunity to champion an Israeli social cause. Campers will work together to choose a cause that they feel passionately about and compete through presentations for a 'grand prize.'
